This is the end!
"Hello Darkness My Old Friend" All good things have to come to an end. In this case its the greenhouse and the channel. I have to sell the greenhouse and my collection to fund the next phase of my life. In this case, its to purchase a small commercial vehicle.
It has been an excellent adventure and a MASSIVE thank you especially to my Patreon supporters. Another huge thank you to all of my community whose interactions have made this journey so enjoyable.
The channel will remain up on UA-cam as a resource although there will be no more uploads.

Saw your other video with your cuttings on dried and live Sphagnum moss in a takeaway container. Interesting method of propagation! Which would you say you had the most success with? I'm leaning towards dried/rehydrated Sphagnum moss in a pot in a propagator, but also have peat moss and perlite. Also spotted you favoured tea over G&T this time! Hehe Thanks for the videos and i need to stop procrastinating and get on with it! (After a glass of wine! 😂)

hi, Ahoj I'm new to the carnivorous plant scene help. I recently bought sundew seeds on Amazon. Drosera seeds 100 seeds (Mix) 1.) Do filter jugs make sense? 2.) Is sundew from a filter jug healthy? 3) I was told that boiled and then cooled water is good for sundews. Can anyone confirm this? 5) Should we hand feed them at some point? as the domes are closed at the seedling stage to maintain humidity, preventing insects from entering. 6._Should we open the dome every few days to get some fresh air? 7)I would like to, I thought. catching rainwater. ? 9) I wish, I thought. catching snow water? sorry if my english is not good 🙁

Nice video, thanks. I realised you posted this 6 years ago and have probably refined the technique a long time ago, but for anyone new watching it I saw a tip from Matthew of Hello Plant Lovers where he used an old card - credit card type - to make holes of various sizes first so he could use the card as a template. It seemed to work very well and stopped the drill slipping. He also suggested using water to stop the terracotta cracking and flaking from the heat of the drill, although you can get diamond bits that are pre-lubricated so shouldn't need water.

Thanks for the info on this beautiful plant. I just found this video. I've had a pleurothallis restrepiodies for over 10 years and never knew what it was called. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it's outside all year and blooms early spring each year. Several of the leaves have black spots but it doesn't seem to impact the vigor of the plant. Is that something I should be concerned with? Thanks.

I just wanted to add excellent work on everything 100! Side note. I regularly use wand pump sprayers. After filling and pumping yours you didn’t seem to hold the handle long enough in the sink. I find that it takes multiple full seconds to get a newly added liquid through the hose and then through the wand. It felt like what you sprayed might have actually been plain water or whatever was left in the spray from the last usage. Curious to head if you can remember etc 🫡❤️

I have 2 of these, the larger one was around 12 years old before it bloomed, it has had done so for the last 3 years, but this year, one of its flower spikes just dried up and looking at the others, think they might go the same way. Why is this? It’s looking a bit pot bound, any tips? The smaller one is about to bloom for the first time this year. Looks like there are 3 spikes sob🤞

Any advice? ......also... my cat ate it today v.v we don't even know how he got up on the shelf cuz there was NO space for him to fit. So I'm really depending on this new growth to save the plant.

Some sweet dreadlocks... but then pencil and square to cut the mount... I can't laugh at dreads though, I'm a man with hair almost to my knees, I don't do anything but wash, condition, brush, and ponytail it. I'm a beginning orchid collector, I got a tradition started of buying my mom an orchid for almost any occasion but starting on and especially on Mother's Day, and I care for them for her. I've never had my own orchid until just today, my first two came in today, a phal which I have some experience with, and an oncidium, new to me. They had soaked in seafood juice (too bad for whoever got spoiled seafood, right?) during transit but it didn't reach the plants. The oncidium had the central leaf rotted out from the new leaf growth yet-to-be pseudobulb which I hope doesn't damn the new growth. That's exactly what crown rot is right? I'm not sure whether that was already an issue at the nursery or if the added moisture from the seafood ruined it but it made me so sad. Both plants have good looking roots with lots of juicy tips. I couldn't get the oncidium back in its pot without scratching the outer roots so I set it on the table with some wet paper towels loosely draped around. I was planning to mount it but I had an unexpected family issue so it will have to wait in this improvised setup until then. Wish it luck!
